Characteristics:<\/span><\/p>\n

Giant trevally (Rouninaji) is distributed in southern Japan and the Indo-West Pacific region. Adults often live alone on coral reefs and rough reefs. The length of the body exceeds 1 meter, making it one of the largest trevally species. Juveniles are tall, and mature males are elongated. The body color of males is blackish, while females are whitish.<\/span><\/p>\n

It seems to be the fish of longing for anglers who like big fish. On the other hand, large fish are not marketed because of the potential for ciguatera poisoning. Only young fish bodies weighing about 4 kg are edible.<\/span><\/p>\n
