Characteristics:<\/span><\/p>\n

Saddled brown rockfish (Togottomebaru) is distributed in the Pacific Ocean north of Iwate Prefecture, the Sea of Japan north of Niigata Prefecture, and the southern part of the Korean Peninsula. Its body color is grayish-pale red. It inhabits slightly offshore reef areas at depths of 50 to 100 meters. The body length is about 15 to 25 cm. The season is from fall to winter.<\/span><\/p>\n

Togottomebaru is a white fish without peculiarities and has a light flavor. The standard dish is boiled, but it is also cooked in various dishes such as sashimi, grilled with salt, and fried. It is best to leave the skin on when freshly caught and eaten as sashimi. If the skin is removed, the light flavor of the fish will leave you feeling a little unsatisfied.<\/span><\/p>\n
