It inhabits brackish rivers and bays and lives in mangrove areas. Its body is strongly laterally compressed, and it has many black spots scattered over its silvery-white body. It grows to a length of 20 cm.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Kurohoshimanjuudai is rarely found on the market, but it is sometimes caught mixed in with other fish in gillnets and the like and is edible. It is delicious when served as sashimi, grilled with salt, or meuniere.
