In Japan, they are sometimes caught in Suruga Bay, the Enshu Sea and the Kumano Sea. The main fishing grounds are in Kinko Bay in Kagoshima Prefecture. They live in deep water at depths of up to 200m. Adult bodies are around 8cm long.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The flesh of Namikudahigeebi is soft and sweet, similar to that of sweet shrimp (amaebi), and is delicious. The miso (internal organs) of the head also have a delicious umami flavor.
