It lives in fairly large groups around coral reefs. It is 40-50cm long. It has two brown bands running down its sides. Its body is silvery in color, and its tail fin is yellow.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Daruma kamasu\u00a0can be bought in supermarkets in Kyushu and Wakayama Prefecture. It can be prepared and eaten in the same way as ordinary barracuda (kamasu). It is also surprisingly good with oil and is a delicious pan-fried or deep-fried fish.
