Inarizushi

Inarizushi is a sweet-boiled deep-fried tofu filled with sushi rice. The general theory behind its oblong shape (sand bag shape) is modeled after the bag used by the Inari god of agriculture for rice. There is also a popular legend that the name originates from the love of the messenger of the Inari god, the fox’s, love for deep-fried tofu.
