Hourai Junmai Ginjo “Kaden Tezukuri”

Hourai, brewed by Watanabe Shuzo in Hida City, Gifu Prefecture, offers vegan-certified sake approved by The Vegan Society in the UK. While sake is traditionally made from rice and rice koji without animal products, some breweries use animal-derived fining agents during filtration. Watanabe Shuzo, however, does not use these agents, making their sake fully vegan-friendly.

The Kaden Tezukuri Junmai Ginjo is a testament to Watanabe Shuzo’s dedication to quality and craftsmanship. It is brewed from Hida Homare, a premium sake rice from Gifu, polished to 55%, and carefully brewed in small batches using traditional ginjo methods. This sake offers a smooth and gentle mouthfeel, with a delicate fruity aroma that unfolds gracefully. You can enjoy the natural sweetness and umami of the rice, complemented by a deep and rich flavor profile.

Selected for ANA international first-class flights, this sake is appreciated across generations and pairs beautifully with a wide range of dishes. For vegan sushi or Japanese cuisine, it brings out the best in both the food and the sake.
