Characteristics:

Yellow-striped butterfish (Takabe) is distributed along the Pacific coast from central Honshu to Kyushu. The body length is 15~20 cm. Its body color is blue-brown with a yellow longitudinal band on its back.

As time passes, the yellow longitudinal band disappears, indicating the loss of freshness. The flesh is tender and fatty despite being a white fish, making it tasty. It can be served as sashimi, grilled, fried, or any other way you like.
